I had the pleasure of attending S2‘s ‘An Evening with One Fell Swoop’ last Wednesday. Held at their store on Angove Street, the space was filled with luscious flower arrangements, delicious cheeseboards and S2′s newest art installation. Suspended from the ceiling was a two-tiered form consisting of 4000m of string, painstakingly hand-tied by S2′s Niamh Clinton and Lily Inglis. Two models wearing One Fell Swoop‘s latest collaborative collection with artist Tané Andrews paraded around the space throughout the evening. S2 owner Chrissy Catling introduced guests to the One Fell Swoop designers Daniel Romanin and Nikolina Ergic, providing them the opportunity to learn more about the label and the designers themselves. I always have an amazing time at S2′s events, the atmosphere is forever warm and welcoming.

I wore: Tom Binns necklace, Friend of Mine leather bustier, Tao Comme des Garçons skirt, Ann Demeulemeester shoes.

There are various ways to wear this dress, but this is my favourite. I love the look of the mesh against the skin and how it moves when there’s a slight breeze. Although it is lightweight, it’s also made of polyester so I’ve only been able to wear it a few times as it isn’t the best to wear in the heat; one positive though, it will be a great piece in the transition to winter.

‘Mania is an extreme idea of cat ladies and obsessive secrets mixed with elements of 80s sportswear and modernised Japanese dress; which are brought together in a collection of black on black and white on white garments. The end result is one very sporty yet chic cat lady.’ - Garth Cook

As I’ve mentioned numerous times before, faux fur is one of my biggest weaknesses. My pupils will dilate instantly at the sight of any garment with just a hint of faux fur, and they will probably explode if it was made of it entirely. This is why ‘Mania’ is my favourite Garth Cook collection so far. I love the contrast of textures within individual garments, for example faux fur is stitched alongside patent snakeskin nylon and polar fleece track suiting; the mix of furry, smooth and soft makes for really kawaii, feminine and sporty looks!
