A couple of posts ago I wrote about wanting to have more adventures this year, well, I am off to Korea next week! A new adventure came much sooner than expected. I have never been there before, so I am really excited. I looked at the weather forecast last night and it looks like it is going to be freezing over there! It’s quite hard to consider just how cold it will be when Perth is in the height of summer. So to get me in the mood for winter dressing, I have been looking to Acne’s Pre-Fall collection for 2015 – I love the oversized silhouettes and strategic layering and those lace-up hiking boots are exquisite! I wish I could pack a whole bunch of items to mix and match textures over there, but I’m trying to pack light – which means keeping the outfits simple and ensuring all pieces are as versatile as possible.

Denim is one fabric that my wardrobe has very little of. I guess it’s because the most common use for denim are jeans and I’ve never been a jeans girl; I have the odd pair here and there, but I have never been someone who wears their jeans day in day out. A small part of me wishes I was, the extreme ease at which one can get dressed in the morning is so alluring – a t-shirt and jeans and voila, you’re done. But alas, that’s just not me. I do really love denim though, so I was really happy when I came across this dress by Marques’ Almeida; I love the contrast between its sleek metallic sheen and its unfinished raw edges and grunge-esque sleeves.

As 2015 begins I have started to contemplate what this year may hold for me. One thing is for sure, I aim to travel this year. I was looking through photos of my last trip to Hong Kong and I was immediately hit with post-holiday blues once again. There is something so refreshing and inspiring about visiting a foreign land. I long to absorb new cultures; to visit unfamiliar sights, eat new foods, meet fresh faces – just to breathe a different air! I always think back to how inspired and motivated I am when I first return from travel – I love that feeling, it’s always such a struggle to maintain it to be honest. I wonder where my next adventure will be…
